1. Mission statement and corporate principles

​

The primary objective of TGM Kanis Turbinen GmbH is to operate worldwide as a manufacturer and service provider of high-quality steam turbines, steam turbine sets, auxiliary systems and mechanical drives. Our efforts to achieve maximum customer satisfaction through the first-class quality of our products and technologies, qualified employees and effective and safe processes are a key factor in our success. The improvement of our management systems and the development and enhancement of our products and services are important to us in terms of sustainability. We place the highest value on preserving the environment, environmentally friendly processes, socially responsible action and ethical business principles. We are committed to understanding and meeting the needs and expectations of our stakeholders, ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and involving them in decision-making.

Our corporate culture is characterized by quality, environmental and safety-conscious action with trusting cooperation, integrity, a sense of responsibility, commitment and mutual respect. The most important principles of conduct and standards for TGM Kanis Turbinen GmbH are summarized in a “Code of Conduct”.

3. Quality management

 

Our customers set the standard for the quality of our products and services. All of our company's employees strive to exceed customer expectations wherever possible. Our quality standards apply to our products and processes, the qualification and further development of our employees and our dealings with interested parties. This is why promoting a sense of quality and responsibility is a management task at TGM Kanis.

 

To meet our quality standards:

  • we ensure compliance with statutory, legal, normative and official requirements,

  • we promote the further training and skills development of our employees through suitable qualification measures,

  • we ensure a consistently high level of quality through standardized processes, preventive measures, consistent quality planning, risk and error management and sound quality assurance,

  • the technologies and processes we use are continuously and sustainably improved,

  • we promote the implementation of this policy through regular audits and identify ways and means of improvement,

  • we regularly take the results of our context analysis into account when determining our strategic approach,

  • we set ourselves ambitious goals and review and improve our processes by means of measurable targets.

4. Environmental protection-, occupational health and safety management

 

Maintaining a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly working environment for all employees is a top priority in the design of our activities.

 

Implementation is based on:

  • compliance with binding obligations, company and legal regulations,

  • the obligation of every employee to actively participate in occupational safety and environmental protection and to always behave in a safety, health and environmentally conscious manner,

  • the company's obligation to involve or consult employees in decision-making processes,

  • the economical use of resources as well as low-emission and low-waste technologies to reduce negative environmental impacts and their regular monitoring and measurement, ongoing training and instruction measures for all employees,

  • the regular assessment of working conditions, the evaluation of potential hazards and the resulting preventive measures to minimize hazards,

  • the regular assessment of our environmental aspects, impacts and performance as part of the context analysis,

  • preventive measures to prevent negative environmental impacts and damage to property as well as work-related health hazards,

  • the immediate rectification of identified deficiencies in work equipment and work processes by taking appropriate measures,

  • regular audits, technical committee meetings and the management review to check the implementation of this policy and the objectives set and to identify improvement measures for the integrated management system.

5. Responsibility 

 

The executive management of TGM Kanis Turbinen GmbH is committed to providing all necessary resources to fulfill the requirements and continuously improve our integrated management system. It considers opportunities and risks in the strategic orientation of the company and regularly evaluates the targets set with regard to sustainable implementation and effectiveness.

By complying with the binding corporate policy, all employees of TGM Kanis Turbinen GmbH contribute to the achievement of the objectives and at the same time support the long-term success and sustainability of the company.​

TGM Kanis treats all incoming information confidentially and does not tolerate any reprisals against whistleblowers who report possible violations in good faith and responsibly.
